On September 26, the CARO Centre took part in the @Montréal Connecté 2023 advance mission of the Guadeloupe Islands Chamber of Commerce delegation, leader of the OHADAC project.

This preparatory workshop was led by Team France Export Outremer (Guadeloupe, Martinique (CCI IG and CCIM) and Reunion Chambers of Commerce together with the Martinique Chamber of Commerce.

The event brought together business leaders from Guadeloupe (face-to-face) and Martinique (videoconference).

The workshop was an opportunity to assess the needs of overseas French territories business leaders, and to raise their awareness of export issues, conflict prevention and access to international expertise.

The delegation was made up of companies from Guadeloupe and Martinique.

@Montréal Connecté 2023 is a major annual meeting on digital transformation that brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, decision-makers, industry stakeholders and artists to “raise awareness of the challenges and stakes of the digital revolution” and encourage business leaders and project leaders to expand their network and develop business relationships and collaborations.

The speakers were as follows:

  • Solène BALAGUETTE, legal expert at the CARO centre, presented the legal security and export section.
  • Laury LATCHOUMANAYA
  • Raïssa GOUBIN-KERN and Nathalie LUGIERY

The event concluded with a networking event between members of the on-site delegation, who were able to share their business experience and discuss CARO's services.

Emphasis was placed on the accessibility of CARO services and the significance of arbitration, mediation or mediation clauses to secure local and international projects.
